Migration Lab (MLab) aims to make migration better for migrant workers and their families through research to inform policymaking, practical innovations to promote responsible recruitment, and storytelling to amplify the voices of migrant workers.
We believe in the transformative power of good migration for workers and their families. While there exist sound principles and policies promoting safe and rewarding migration, translating them into practical interventions is a challenging but exciting area of work. We hope to join innovative organizations working in this space.
Our current projects include pilot initiatives aimed at making good overseas opportunities reach the poorest, training programs covering all phases of migration, marketing and advisory services to various migration stakeholders, storytelling and solutions-based research.
We look forward to partnering with like-minded organizations committed to unlock the potential of migration.

• Returnee reintegration
• Restrictive emigration policies

We serve as a platform to amplify stories of migrants through various mediums, including media articles, poems, videos, and art, often narrated in their own voices.
Our pilot projects, in collaboration with ethical recruiters, employers, migrant workers, and other stakeholders, tackle practical challenges that hinder impact migration. These include designing rewarding labor mobility programs, third-party monitoring for fair recruitment practices, training programs for migrants at all stages of migration and communication strategies to promote responsible recruitment.
Our core strength lies in our extensive and quickly expanding migrant network. As a conduit between academia and practitioners and between global and local actors including from migrant communities, Government, media, private sector and civil society, we facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships and learning.
